One of the many beneficiaries of the rebels being dismissed from the Zimbabwean set-up is Christopher Mpofu. He is a medium pace bowler with a decent action, but can easily qualify as one of the worst batsman in the world, on current form or otherwise! He is a tall bowler, and can hit the pitch and get reasonable bounce and carry to the wicket keeper. He has also got a reasonable away swing movement, but suffers from consistency in lines and lengths. He made his ODI debut at Harare against England in 2004 and had a decent outing, bowling almost his full ten overs for only 30 odd runs. In 2005, he also made his Test debut, and captured a four wicket haul in the first innings that he bowled in, and another in the second innings. But after this he picked up only three more in the next five Tests to be dropped from the line-up. He continues playing ODI cricket though, and his best haul of 4/42 came against Bangladesh at Bogra.
