Profile
Jean-Paul Duminy is a left-handed batsman as well as a right-arm off spin bowler. Duminy is known for his stylish performances usually batting at the top of the order. He made his debut against Sri Lanka at Colombo on August 20, 2004. After two years, he was included in the national team again but he failed to make a mark.
His presence was well acknowledged during the South African tour to England in the Under-19 category. Also, in the 2003-04 season he put up a brilliant display after his 24-month stint with South Africa’s Western Province team.
He is not one of the regular bowlers in the ODI side, though his interesting bowling style comes in handy at times. He is a batsman who likes to get settled and eventually targeting for a variety of strokes. He was retained in the South African squad for the ICC World Twenty20 in 2007.
