Indian national selectors have recalled Zaheer Khan for the remaining three matches of the ongoing ODI series against New Zealand, after resting the pace spearhead for the first two matches.
The Krish Srikkanth-led selection panel has also paid heed to MS Dhoni’s repeated comments about Suresh Raina being overworked and has decided to give him a break, along with Sreesanth. The two will most likely head early to South Africa with the other senior players.
Rohit Sharma, who was overlooked for the first two matches, has been included in the squad for the last two ODIs as a replacement to pacer Vinay Kumar, who is a part of the squad for the third game.
Wriddhiman Saha, who did the duties behind the stumps in the first to ODIs, will leave for the Protea land early as a part of the Test squad and Parthiv Patel will replace him for the fourth and fifth ODIs.
