Punjab back on track with win over J-K

Dharamsala: Punjab ended their losing streak defeating Jammu and Kashmir by six wickets in the Ranji Trophy One-day tournament for North Zone at the HPCA stadium, on Thursday.

Batting first, J and K scored 218 runs in 49.2 overs. Vice-captain Manoj Joglekar made 73 while Imraj Thakur and Ian Dev Singh scored 45 each to prop the J and K total.

For Punjab, Taruwar Kohli claimed four wickets conceding 28 runs while Sarabjit and Ankur took two wickets each.

In reply, Punjab reached the target for the loss of four wickets in 37.3 overs. Uday Kaul remained unbeaten on 79 and was ably supported by Ravi Inder Singh (41) and Ankur Kakkar (44).
