Having won the coveted Ranji Trophy championship for a record 38th time, Mumbai reiterates its legacy as one of the best domestic teams in the world. They are seven behind New South Wales and eight championship wins ahead of England’s Yorkshire.
No other side has dominated the national championship as much as Mumbai has done. This can be gauged from the simple fact that after Mumbai, Delhi is the most successful side in tournament's history with just 7 title wins.
In fact among all first-class sides in the world only one has won the premier tournament of their respective countries on more occasions than Mumbai. Have a look.
