Profile
Ravi Rampaul is the first quick bowler of Indian descent to represent West Indies at the international level. He caught everyone’s attention at a very tender age in the World Under-15 Challenge in 2000 after some sizzling performances. In 2003, he took 18 wickets in six matches, and then some remarkable performances for West Indies Under-19 thrust him to the verge of international selection. His aggression is what makes his bowling special. His lethal bouncers and almost unplayable yorkers do not make life easy for any batsman at the receiving end.
He is young, tall and a well-built right-arm pacer, and has done reasonably well for the Caribbean side in the early stages of his career but one can surely expect some big performances from him in the future.
