Young Ross Taylor is the most talked about and highly rated players in New Zealand cricket. He is an aggressive top-order batsman having the capability to dominate world-class attacks. He made a stunning start to his international career by hammering 128 runs against Sri Lanka in only his 3rd match.

His game style is attacking cricket which makes him a crowd favourite. Taylor favours the leg side more and his favourite cricketing shot is the slog sweep. The youngster is a magnificent player of pace bowling. His below par fielding is one of the negatives for the Wellington-born prospect.

He had a disappointing 2007 World Cup, and since then had a series of poor scores. But his recent success in the Test and one-day games have helped him capture the limelight once again. With Fleming and few other big names retiring from the Test arena, the 24-year old holds responsibility of shouldering the Kiwi batting line-up in the years to come.
