No stadium is big enough when Viru hits top gear

The countdown has started and as we approach the business end of the tournament, every game will have its significance in terms of points earned or lost. For Pune, it wasn't a good game against Delhi but it pointed out the areas we need to lift ourselves. We are reaching the point where we will be getting a much-desired break, but before that we need to finish Round I in style at home.

No team is a walk in the park and I feel the Deccan Chargers are a team who haven't clicked till now.

A team which has champions like Kumar Sangakkara, Dale Steyn, JP Duminy are a good side. Add to this our Indian boys like Shikhar Dhawan, Parthiv Patel, Amit Mishra, and the side looks great.

After our win at the Kotla, we were sure Delhi would come hard at us.

We planned well but the execution was not the way we desired. We suffered a jolt at the start of our batting but the rebuilding carried on a bit too long as we struggled to break the shackles. In the end, we lost only two wickets and still had men on the bench who could have got us those desired 25 runs more.

Viru all the way

In the end, it was a Viru show. He batted like a champion and when he is in flow, any stadium looks small. Delhi look solid as long as Viru carries on. If he gets out early, the others, no wonder they are big players, will give you the feeling that anything can happen.

In Delhi, once Viru got out we knew the game was ours for the taking. In Pune, he gave us no chance.
