The players who have signed up for the ICL face an uncertain future -banned from playing in their
own domestic tournaments; some like the Pakistan players who played in the League have decided to
take their case to court. But PCB Chief Nasim Ashraf has warned the things will only get tougher for the ICL from now on.

He said "They must find a solution with the ICC if they want their league to work and survive. Even the Indian Premier League was only launched properly after the BCCI first discussed and worked out things with the ICC and member boards. Anyone who wants to do something for the betterment of cricket must do it through the ICC."

But the ICC seems to be in no mood to soften its stand on the ICL.

Only Time will tell....

Well, I believe the ICL pioneered a great initiative and were clear they would never stop anyone from national duty if selected. But BCCI has this 'big brother' attitude. Not only did the 'official' cricket body derecognize the ICL effort, but it even blatantly plagiarized the idea. What is Lalit Modi taking credit for? The poor cricketers could have atleast had a break in the next couple of months. But now, they have to turn out for IPL.

ICL is getting more and more boring as every match as progressing... Teams like Lahore BAdshahs shud be given chance in the IPL and not in the ICL. The players in ICL are really very boring as they r all retired or rejected players frm their respective boards.. Players in IPL r all new and gud and they have gud sponsorships or owners like Shah Rukh Khan for Kolkata Knight Riders or Vijay Malviya for Bangalore Royal Challengers or Priety Zinta for Mohali franchisee. U need more interesting and latest player to attract people to watch ICL. This is just a suggestion to Kapil Dev to bring more players. Let there be competition between IPL and ICL. Like the English Premier League Football is so popular because all the leagues are merged to form gud clubs....
IPL and BCCI continue wid ur gud work....

to start with ICL and IPL are supposed to be cricketting leagues and not glamour/entertainment leagues. so there is no question of having good owners or sponsorships..the Australian team is not No.1 because of their owner..so look at the cricket being played in these leagues...and i think the ICL has some really good players and their cricket has a good enough standard...with individual batting scores of 98* and 94 in a twenty20 game by no means can anybody call their cricket boring...i will be happy if i get to see some CRICKET in the IPL...i support you Jaywalk!

ICL albiet atracting afew audience..many people are watching it on air..it has a serious threat in the form of IPL..with big guns like sachin tendulkar, rahul dravid and ganguly lining fot thier first T20...But ICL on the other hand is not sitting idle...it moved the pawns effectively by roping lahore badshahs a pakistani team..thereby cashing on the india-pakistan rivalry and they also attracted audiences more than the previous years...but one thing is sure.......it stands in no way competition to IPL..they have to stop thier matches when IPL begins..and must resume after the completion of IPL
