Whenever there is no way around, white journalists and ex players praise Asian or W.Indian players.
Even in their praise, they show their superiority complex...and wantonly whip up a controversy to make Idol worshipping Indians to in fight... Shades of the British Raj always remain in their dealing with affairs from the sub continent.
While praising Viru, Derek writes, "Not much taller than Tendulkar's 5ft 5in, Sehwag, now 31, is nondescript, a short, balding roly-poly man, who could be running a Delhi shoe shop."
This comment comes from a man who's not terribly known for his looks...He himself looked like a DRUNK COUNRYSIDE WOODCUTTER even in his Active playing days.
He also adds some ammo to the Idol crazy Indians by writing,"Sehwag has been, by far, the more enriching. He should be better known than he is, even in India, but for the monopoly of Tendulkar".
THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF SUCH FUELLING WITH ANY OTHER SET OF CRICKET LOVERS, THAN INDIANS.

BE AN INDIVIDUAL TEAM, NOT A TEAM OF INDIVIDUALS.

Let us not read too much in to his comments. Take the Face Value and We have to Move on! He had Put Viru on Top from so many cricketers in this World! We need to appreciate that jesture!

I accept he could have avoided those unwanted remarks!

He has served a big cake, with some arsenic mixed in it...They are Masters of this Art. Whenever our critics like Sunny say some just things that irk them, they'll all come together to condemn...Sunny took the case of Hookes, just to drive a point, and they all got together till he apologised.

yes. he could have avoided personal remarks. remember a banner in melbourne in 1985 in world cup final that stated bus conductors v tram drivers when india and pakistan played. they do it always.

I have seen Pringle playing. It's laughable that he calls Sehwag shoe shop owner. England cricketers always make cunning remarks to make Indians infight.

What is this all about?

I have missed the original point.

Can someone enlighten me please.

The forum also has lost its austerness for some reason.

It has lost it when hooded perpetrators entered it.

That man Viru with that cherubic smile and fantastic sporty behaviour compared with a sugar coated worded petty business man? What an insult!
We have two eyes in Sachin and Viru now. Don't spoil it with dirty games, englishmen.
