Chief selector meets Dravid and offers a break. Do you think should Dravid play the second test or he should be given break now?

First, the header of your post should read the other way round. Dravid will definitely play the second test.
Cheeka has made two offers:
1> Bat down the roder at 5
2> Take a break and come back
Dravid will follow the instructions serially.
In Mohali he will bat at 5 and after that he will 'take a break and come back' for the New Zealand series.
(Pak series toh hone wala hi nahin).

I think Srikanth has given the right suggestion..Dravid shouldtake a break and play domestic matches..gain his focus..and come back into the team in the series against New Zealand..

break means he should not play next test at mohali because after that india has newzealand series in march provided pakistan tour is almost cancelled..........
so he should opt himaself out of next mash in mohali... and pave way for badhrinath

I think u people are talking a lot abt him, this all is creating pressure. I he plays, he should be given playing with free mind, rest, we all know his bat. This dont mean he cant overcome all this pressure, we have seen him doing this in past.
let him play and see.

I think Rahul Dravid will play in Mohali because of two reasons. 1. INDIA won the first test. So there is no pressure for series loss and 2. BCCI sign contract with Dravid in 'A' catagory. So He will likely to play in coming calander year.
If PAK tour will call off then, As per Cheekas meeting with Dravid, NZ tour will be the last tour of Dravid. After NZ tour, India is not playing any test match for four months.
But It is a wackup call for Dravid.

The wall has been shattered for a couple months for lack of form..........but he will make a come back at mohali and will show y the selectors still have faith in him..........and also india will not be in any sort of pressure for the next test......

Rahul dravid will play in mohali,after that india have a long gap of 2 months(i dont think pakistan tour is going to go on as scheduled),in the gap dravid will play first class ckt and will be back afresh for the kiwi tour...

He should take rest and bring new face in team. He is not longer a wall. Moreover he is 35 years old time to retire man!
