Will Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen rise to the occasion and leave the stamp of their class in the forthcoming Ashes series. Australian strike bowler Mitchell Johnson is already looking forward to go after KP during the series. Being their star batsman and the one who loves challenges, KP has also made his intensions loud and clear ahead of the first Test at Cardiff, which is scheduled for July 8.

On the other hand, Freddie is also picking up pace and batting form at the right time. A few days back, he scored an imperious 93 of 41 balls for Lancashire and led his team to victory against Derbyshire in the Twenty20 Cup. County teammate VVS Laxman thinks Flintoff’s bowling rhythm is spot on. So, will the Freddie-KP duo stop the mighty Aussies in their tracks? Do share your views…

Aishwarya, if you ask me to 'play it safe', I would keep my money on Ravi Bopara and Stuart Broad.

Ravi has been in very good form and brought depth to English batting line up. Stuart is most dangerous bowler in English conditions, where ball swings either side.

Your observation appears to be solely on popularity of KP and Freddie, but if you go by recent form and stats, I think Ravi and Stuart are best bet.
