The chairman of ICC's cricket committee, Sunil Gavaskar has hit out at England and Aus, calling them 'dinosaurs'. The former batting champ, known for his outspoken ways has criticized Eng and Aus for 'voicing their prejudiced opinion'.

The shortlisting of Inderjit Bindra as a possible successor to Malcolm Speed as ICC chief executive did not go down well with the British and Australian press, Gavaskar added.

"Those worried of the prospect of India's hegemony were conveniently forgetting that only a few years back, there were two Australians at the top of the ICC. Once again, it is a misplaced belief that they are the only ones with honesty, integrity and have the welfare of the game at heart, while the 'subcontinentals' do not."

Truly, the Australian media just can't accept the fact that Cricket Australia is past its glory days and India is just getting better and more aggressive, both on and off the field... India is no longer a diffident voice in the international cricket community....

    Hi!

Yes, i think perhaps it is getting down a touch too much on the Aussie media. However, you yourself agreed that sunny is outspoken. He also received some bitter stuff from several people including his fellow Indians. He was never short of a word and every time he always comes up with something silly and makes a mess.

I'm not questioning his game qualities. He's a class performer. But I'm raising concerns on the way he carries himself and his administrative abilities

I agree with you that Oz media felt the pinch when some of their members were not at the highest level. But I strongly feel that Sunny is no where qualified to speak on them for 2 reasons.
    1. He is holding a top position in the ICC body. So, he needs to think about the interest of world cricket and not Indian cricket.
    2. He already carries a reputation that he is outspoken. So being an outspoken, people will jus ignore whatever he say becasue they are used to him.

Moreover, the apprehensions could be that he might loose his credibility.
