Profile
Darren Sammy is a very talented all-rounder from West Indies. He is the first international cricketer to emerge from St Lucia, an island reviving its cricket culture with the new Beausejour Stadium capturing the imagination of the public. So it is a major feat for this much talked about Caribbean player to have made it to the West Indies squad.Though Sammy made his ODI debut in 2004, he was successful in making an impact only in 2007. He celebrated his Test debut with figures of 7-66 in the second innings of a Test match against England at Manchester. He is also a useful batsman down the order which has made him a regular fixture in the West Indies line-up.
