Darren Sammy is an upcoming young all-rounder from West Indies. He is the first international cricketer to emerge from St Lucia, an island reviving its cricket culture with the new Beausejour Stadium capturing the imagination of the public. So it is a major feat for this much talked about Caribbean player to have made it to the West Indies squad.

Though Sammy made his ODI debut in 2004, he was successful in making an impact in 2007. He celebrated his Test debut with figures of 7-66 in the second innings against England. A useful batsman down the order, Sammy is surely one to look out for in the future.
