Profile

Ryan Sidebottom is a tall, strong-built, curly hair left-arm fast bowler with the ability to swing the ball both the ways. Sidebottom made his Test debut in 2001 against Pakistan, but due to an ordinary performance, he was not to be seen in the England side for another 6 years.
The Yorkshire born then made a strong comeback in 2007 by scalping 8 wickets in his return Test against West Indies. Since then, he has done an excellent job of leading the English pace attack. The long-lock Yorkshireman bowls quick and has an outstanding control on his swing bowling. The left-arm seamer forces the batsmen into committing mistakes with his wily variations.
The left-armer played an instrumental role in England’s ODI series win in Sri Lanka. And with a tally of 24 wickets from 3 Tests in New Zealand, Sidebottom stamped his authority in the team with the Man of the Series honour.
