Profile

One of the fastest bowlers in the world, Brett Lee holds the capacity to bowl a delivery at 160 kph. The right-arm quickie made his Test debut against India at Melbourne. He intimidated the Indian batters with his fiery pace bowling and ended up with a 5-wicket haul in the first innings. The New South Wales seamer is capable of bowling lethal quick bouncers and the well disguised slower delivery is a great asset in his armoury. Lee is also an athletic fielder and a useful tail-ender down the order. The right-arm pace bowler really came of age in the 2005 Ashes where he really bowled his heart out. Since the retirement of Glenn McGrath, Lee has done an excellent job of spearheading his nation's pace attack, and his recent Test and ODI record justifies his role as the strike bowler. However, it is his body which has started troubling the pacer. Fast bowlers are always prone to injuries and Brett lee has been no exception. He has already missed a considerable amount of top level cricket due to his foot stress and ankle injuries.
