A strong-built left-hander, an intimidating personality and an aggressive attitude, Australian Matthew Hayden has all the ingredients that have made him successful in International cricket. He made his debut for Australia in 1994 but after an unsuccessful run in the international arena, he was dropped from the team.

With a muscular physique, the burly southpaw's presence at the crease is enough to intimidate the opponents. The Queenslander is a strong player of the front foot and likes to take the attack back to the bowlers. 'Haydos' is also a good slip fielder and has grasped some breathtaking catches with his bucket-like hands over the years. The Australian opener made a successful comeback in 2001 against India, and since then has never looked back.

Hayden was named the ICC player of the year in 2007 and was the top run-scorer in the World Cup in West Indies. The aggressive opener has certainly stamped his name in the list of all-time Australian legendary players with outstanding performances throughout his international career.
