Manou makes ODI debut as Aus bat
With the series leveled at one-all, Australia has started the third ODI on a positive note by winning the all important toss. Ricky Ponting got it right with the coin and without a hint of delay said he’ll bat first.
The decision hardly came as a surprise to anyone who had a glimpse at the newly laid Feroz Shah Kotla track. The wicket is expected to play really slow and keep low, more or less as it did in the Champions League.
Team batting first, in this case Australia, will have a definite advantage as chasing may well be a nightmare on this pitch but the dew factor will come into the picture and gripping the ball will be a bit difficult in the second innings. Aussie captain Ponting reckons 220 will be a defendable score.
While India retain the same side that won the Nagpur tie, Graham Manou will make an ODI debut for Australia with a couple of other changes being made. Apart from the forced changes due to injury, there's one surprise change, the exclusion of Shaun Marsh. Moises Henriques replaces the young batsman.
