BCCI sack Venkatesh Prasad, Robin Singh
Mumbai: Close on the heels of Rahul Dravid’s exclusion from the Indian squad, the BCCI has made another startling revelation. The board has decided to sack the bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad and fielding coach Robin Singh with immediate effect.
“The BCCI has decided to discontinue the services of bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad and fielding coach Robin Singh, with immediate effect,” said the carefully worded press release.
“As of now, we have not identified any new bowling and fielding coach. We have just discontinued the services of Venkatesh Prasad and Robin Singh as bowling and fielding coach of the Indian team. We may go for a new bowling and fielding coach but not in the immediate future,” said N Srinivasan, secretary of the BCCI.
With an important ODI series against Australia just 10 days away, the sacking of the two coaches comes as a baffling move on the part of the BCCI.
