15:45 HRS IST - Both captains decided to call off the play with almost 15 overs remaining in the day. Australians were 127-2 when the match ended. Ricky Ponting remained unbeaten on 58 while deputy Michael Clarke made 36 not out.

14:45 HRS IST – Piyush Chawla struck early in the final session of the day, removing the dangerous Matthew Hayden, trapping him leg before wicket. Ricky Ponting continued to look in sublime form as his deputy Michael Clarke joined him at the crease.

11: 45 HRS IST - Board President’s XI took Lunch on fourth and final day of the first-class fixture against the Australians at 240-4 with an unassailable lead of 381 runs. Captain Yuvraj Singh (113 runs, 143 balls, 4x7, 6x7) led the charge with a spectacular century as opener Wasim Jaffer (93 runs, 159 balls, 4x12) gave him able support.

Yuvraj smashed seven sixes to make the potent Aussie attack look ordinary here at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad. Stuart Clark (3-13) was the outstanding bowler for the visitors, claiming both Jaffer and Yuvraj thanks to his perserverance and discipline.

It would be a surprising move by Yuvraj Singh if BP XI came back out to bat in the second session. With a lead of 381 runs, he may be tempted to hand the ball to Pragyan Ojha and Piyush Chawla at the earliest.

11:20 HRS IST – Stuart Clark, who has by far been Australia’s best bowler in the four-day tie bowled a spectacular spell to Yuvraj Singh and was finally rewarded when the Board President’s XI captain edged a straightforward catch to wicketkeeper Haddin.

Declaration is just around the corner for the BP XI. Wasim Jaffer is stranded in the 90s and they are most likely to declare at the completion of the Mumbai batsman’s century.

11:15 HRS IST – Yuvraj Singh brought up his 16th first-class century in spectacular fashion, cracking part-time Australia spinner Michael Clarke for a six over deep mid-wicket. Wasim Jaffer is batting steadily on 92 not out. The duo have added 185 runs for the third wicket thus far. Board President's XI had stretched their lead past 370 runs by this juncture.

The Australians started the day with a rather defensive approach, fielding just two slips and letting the batsmen get off the hook. Yuvraj and Jaffer played aggressive strokes from the word go.
