Drug abuse in cricket is not a novelty. Here is a rundown on all drug abuse-related cases in cricket over the last two decades.

Pakistan's Wasim Akram, Mushtaq Ahmed and Waqar Younis were arrested in Grenada for drug posession in 1992-93.

> New Zealand's Stephen Fleming, Matthew Hart and Dion Nash were fined and suspended for smoking cannabis in 1994-95.

> Shane Warne tested positive for a diuretic on the eve of the 2003 World Cup in South Africa. Received a one-year ban.

> South Africa's Herschelle Gibbs, Paul Adams, Andre Nel, Justine Kemp and Roger Telemachus were fined for smoking marijuana on their 2004-05 Caribbean tour

> Former England all-rounder Ian Botham was banned for nine weeks for using drugs in the mid 80s.

> England's Ed Giddins was caught taking cocaine in 1999.

> Former Indian spinner Maninder Singh was arrested in 2007 for possessing cocaine

> Asif and Shoaib Akhtar tested positive for nandrolone in 2006.
